Our why

The Carter Family Foundation strives to help people with intellectual disabilities, autism, their families and other underserved persons with the education and resources. Everyone should have access to resources that will help that guide and support them towards achieving self sufficiency.

Our mission

Supporting underserved populations through education, housing and community support programs that guide towards self sufficiency.

Our Founder,
Aeisha Carter MAEd

As a child in a military family and one of four children, Aeisha Carter, traveled the world. She had the pleasure of meeting lots of people and was introduced to various cultures. Learning about people and being sensitive to their needs afforded her a greater understanding of the world. Aeisha's parents instilled strong family values which strengthened her responsibility,  created an appreciation for those around her and a respect for the community. Aeisha has a strong compassion for others. She wanted to provide opportunities for those where opportunities may not exist. She asked what more could she do and how could she make an impact. With more than 35 years of combined education and experience working with those diagnosed with autism and intellectual disabilities, this inspired her to create an additional platform to help those trying to help themselves by providing increased access to unique opportunities,  education and resources.
